ABOUT THE BOOK
ON A COLD NIGHT IN THE LONELY farming property where she chooses to live away from the great thrum of humanity, ageing Samar opens a magazine to see the face of the man who was the most pivotal and poisonous—influence of her life, the vampire Michael Kei. Reliving the vibrant years of her young womanhood, Samar must once again face the moments that entwined her to Michael Kei and his “family”: the seductive and yet deadly trio of Carla, Tash and tragic Mila. In those wild days and nights of the 1980s Samar was forced to discover the deadly depths of her own needs and desires—but was she all too willing to join that family, and does she now protect some small essence of her humanity as Michael Kei reapproaches, and does she still hunger for his life-giving mixture of love and blood?
